Buying and NX2k
Hey guys, planning to pick up an NX2k here. Its just that Canada, especially manitoba, doesn't seem to like b13 se-rs here. It needs a guy with deep pockets to get one hauled here in my area. Are there any particular points I should look out when buying an NX? The one im looking at a 1991 has 220xxx Km on it, highway driven since they live in a small town and the city is far away. It has 5th gear pop out on the tranny but I have an extra motor and tranny with me. Please advise

If it's got T-tops, you'll want to check the A-pillars for rust. The rear strut towers as well rust out.

check the Canadian section for members close to you. I know of a few members with eggs out there. That way you can actually get close to one and maybe even go for a ride

look for rust an A-pillar is the two long pieces that hold your windshield in place that connect to the roof.. and my personal dislike about the NX is the cable clutch so watch for a stretched clutch cable...

Guess what i picked up
This car has never seen winter with salt and only saw 1 winter, highway driven (came from a small town in manitoba), clean car, checked under, a-pillar, strut mounts..... allllllllll gooooooood! for $1000 CAD, one of the best deals ive got! I drove it back into the city for 2 and a half hours on the highway, gotta say, its running good! shifts easy! and its been seafoamed and whatever that old guy called it that he used before when seafoam wasnt his option throughout its lifetime. The guy is 63 years old and rebuilds classic cars. I saw a model-T for the first time in person and its running! I was like.... OMG! 1 bad thing, rust on the rear driver side quarter panel (its a hole, unfortunately) easy fix though! plus **** load of rock chips from the highway... and oh yeah, anyone selling a passenger side fog lamp here? lens is cracked on it. heres some pics after a quick wash.

Some free stuff he put in:
new exhaust (oem)
brake pads (oem)
brand new all season tires. (forgot to check what brand)
(i guess all these were for that price of $1000 covered it) lol

You can some what see that rust spot from here
