I never said that he wasn't getting rebuilds, I think really the only option for our car is rebuilds nowadays unless you wanna drop some ridiculous amount of money for a OEM Nissan caliper. As I said before, our cars are old and rare, so a lot of times the calipers that parts places have sitting around HAVE been sitting around for years and the seal where the parking brake goes in to engage with the caliper gets brittle and dry. I had to replace my caliper twice in a row once because I got 2 bad ones that leaked from the exact same spot.Right on the end where the parking brake lever goes in. Just keep warrantying them untill you get one that doesn't leak

Its leaking at the point where the parking brake cable connects (the arm) i had this same problem before come to figue this is my Third time what the heck??? I am getting them from ARCH Ian,You think the Autozone ones are better??? Or you just think its the seal that needs changing.Everday i have to put brake fluid in this thing. And being the cool person i am i alway's look on the bright side and say to myself at least the system is clean from old fluid

It's a pita to change that seal. Maybe try a different parts store to see if you get the same result.

The reason you are not stopping is probally because you are leaking. There is air in the system.
Yeah, I think Autozone rebuilds are better. The rubber tabs that keep dirt and water out of the sliding pins on their rebuilds actually stay in place as well.

Do you have a camera? If so take a picture of the caliper and in the picture show us the leak. It is possible to get 2 in a row that are bad but it's not typical. There may be something one of us sees in the pic that we are missing in the explanation. It could be something really simple. On my last car I had a very small crack in the threads of my brake line that you couldn't see until the line was under a lot of pressure. I would take the pic before tearing it down again.

Make sure that copper washer is tight! It needs to be tighter than one would think. And make sure there is a fresh copper washer installed.

my right rear caliper has just started leaking sometime this week too. Now I'm going to get to go through all this fun. Hopefully I'll get a good one on the first try
