Thread: any taillight but standard

Hello,

I've been looking for working on/replacing my taillights.

Those standard ones are damn ugly:



Now I have two ideas I dont really like for the cops. One is to paint part of the taillight black so I end up with three circles. The other is to paint the orange part of the taillight red.

I have 2 questions, any chance US taillights look different? Where or how to get those taillights custom? I have found workable solutions for the side, front markers and headlights.

I think it looks great but to only problem is it depends on where you live if the law looks the other way on that,, its touchy in some states.. just the amber being covered does stand out,,

I am not trying to nitpick blairellis,or anything so please dont take this wrong.
That p10 looks great...but the trimming leaves a little to be desired.I can see the orange showing on the pic of the drivers side wher it doesn't cover all the way..
It will also blink orange still.

I would recommend putting a layer of red on the whole lens first than do the smoke over it on the top half(like it is).
It would look the same,but the blinkers would light up red!


Tearoffguy and myself have been experimenting alot lately with this film(wasting money,lol)...in fact,I was thinking of putting a light smoke layer over my all red NX tails to see how that looks.
I have said it before and I will say it again...the beauty of this film vs. painting them is that you can change it up whaenever you want...awesome!
Of course,I have the advantage of knowing a great tinter to install it for me...LOL

This sure is helpful to me. Im trying to get red foil in The Netherlands and it looks like a not so common product overhere. But via clubs etc. I will find out where and how to get it.

They do sell red paint for taillights overhere, also smoke paint, but I dont think thats a good idea. I mean, when the cops are making an issue out of it, I just yank the foil off and make sure I got plenty left to foil them again. Usually they let you go when you do this on spot. Same goes for blown bulbs.

nothing available, our rear lights are identical to yours. You can paint or place film over it. I prefer the film, its nice and you have the option to remove it.
