I've read elsewhere on the forums that people have had good results using a universal gauge pod and then forming it to the pillar using a heat gun.

yeah that may work as well. Or you can just buy the replacement full pillar pod from the above site and bolt it on and install your gauges.

I just installed mine the other day, and it looks very good. It mounted right up with no issues. No gauges yet I'm working on it...

Do you really have to drill a hole in the a pillar for their own attachment, or do they match OEM covers with the stock clip locations?

I can't decide between buying one of these, and just relocating my radio and putting the gauges where the radio currently is...

Its not hard you can use self tappers if you want, but as far as i know they all need some other from of attachment. The stock clips dont work.

The kit comes with self tapping screws so you'll have to mount it to the existing pillar. A-B-C easy as 1-2-3...

I went this route cause I wanted to kepp my EDM cubby

The kit comes with stainless steel self tappers and they provide some black plastic covers for the screw heads. It's ugly as hell, I just bought some black self tappers and called it a day
