LoL 2 project cars ownz me.

Can anyone give clues on how to get the factory hatch off? I know there's the two hatch struts, and then two hinges, with each hinge having two bolts. I just don't know how to get to the bolts. I posted here because I feel it's kind of pertinent to the thread and people are going to be searching for the answer when they get a hatch. I used the search function as well as Google and no result.

The bolts for the hinges are under the headliner. You hve to remove the trim piece between the roof and the hatch and then you can pry he liner down a bit and get to the bolts. Its real common sense....

Before you remove the bolts, you should disconnect any electrical connections (wiper motor, window defrosters, 3rd breake light and pull the wires all the way out of the hatch.

Then undo the bolts and the weight itself will dislodge the hinge adhesive. I recommend you have a friend help as it can get heavy at times depending where you are...


BTW, we have already produced a few of the CF hatches.
