So how high do you expect the back of the car to be? Will it be up too high once on the ground? How did you make your measurements, to be sure it is in proper place, so it doesn't dogtrack or screw up the suspension geometry?

In no way am I bashing, I am inquiring about this very cool project. Good work man , Keep it up.

It won't be off by that much height wise from what it originally was and I can always adjust my suspension if need be. For measurement wise all you can do is measure and recheck then hope your right or at least close enough that it can be adjusted later. Like any sub frame you will have about a 1/16th of adjustment either way to fine tune things. I used a yard stick, tape measure, squares and the laser level to help figure things out. A lot of measuring was done on the front and strut towers so I could line up the back off of that and as of now the front wheels line up exactly with the rear. The suspension angle also appears to be good and the sub frame is level with the drive shaft. All I can do is hope for the best right now and I’ll see how much things are off when I let my brothers friend put it on the alignment machine at his work.

Thanks for all the comments/feedback so far guys.

Here are some parts I recently put up for sale.

Unorthodox crank & water pump pully used for ruffly 1,500 miles. Great condition yet and i'll even include the belts for non ac applications. $120 shipped obo SOLD

New G-Spec Gti-r crank pully and spacer to make it fit on a sr20de (spacer isn't needed for installation on a Gti-r engine). Purchased this from castilano200sx but i'm buying a forge pully kit for my engine. $100 shipped with spacer obo SOLD

Damage on the spacer but i'll clean it up a bit so its still useable otherwise g-spec has it on sale for $12

1990 Gti-r fuel pump and sending unit which came with my engine when purchased. Appears to be in good shape and the estimated mileage was 90,000. Would work great for doing a turbo setup on a sr20de. $30 Shipped obo

NX cable clutch assembly off of my 91. $30 shipped obo

Gti-r top mount intercooler setup. Everything for the intercooler including recirculation valve, hoses and piping. $150 shipped OBO

Bluebird top mount intercooler setup, also comes with couplers, clamps and all piping (no bov included). Worked perfect running boost at 10psi. $120 shipped OBO

Finally some updates for you guys.

4-8-09

The red hydraulic cart I was using to support the sub frame became all bent out of shape and was screwing me up. I'm using 2 jacks now to support it. Anyways I had to redo the two rear brackets since it actually had to sit lower then how I originally had it.

Here is one support bar and more two come.

Started on the front sub frame brackets.

I drilled a hole in the center of my bottom plate, then bolted it to the sub frame and built my sides off of it.

Minor updates, worked on my rstb/support today. Did all my measurments and cut out my stb brackets.

I also added a couple more tools to my kill list since starting this project.
My chop saw is now dead and I broke a couple hole saws that were purchased today so they were replaced for free. Puts my total to 5 grinders, 1 chop saw and a couple hole saws so far.
