NX2k: Active Tuning Bar w/ Rear Seats?
First of all HI!!!!!

My first NX sub-forum post yo! I'm excited to be a new nx owner! (Still waiting a little bit to get registered, etc.) I'm ready to apply my style to the high exhaulted nx chassis! Where's the jammin smily when you need it.

Quick Question: Were you nx guys able to use the rear um... seats, and plastic trim with the active tuning rstb bar? Is there anything you have to do? Just wondering while I'm sitting here waiting for some wrench time to touch this thing. I've got all this stuff just sitting on my shelf ready to go...

Excuse my noob nx questions... I'm ready to learn

I found this from searching: http://www.sr20forum.com/nx2000/46729-active-tuning-rstb-nx-fitment-issue.html

I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of what they did to keep it looking as OEM as possible.

edit: it fits

if you put it in backwards you should be able to keep the seats. I'm getting the octotat one.

Not sure why it wouldn't work but I say try it! You will have to remove the sound deadening material for sure.

There's absolutely no interference with the seat, the bar winds up about 4" behind it. I just needed to do a little grinding on my mounting plate, probably a matter of tolerances adding up, no biggy.

You'll need to make a slit in the carpeting that covers the strut tower braces for the bar to pass through, and you'll be good to go.

The AT bar is especially usefull in an NX, since the rear half of the car is about as stiff as a noodle.

Good Stuff Chris. I'll get a test fit in here soon. Do you have any pics of the clearances? If not, I'm sure it will clear itself up when I get some hands on.

Yeah, I love this a.t. bar - its so badass. LOL... Noodle!

Off Topic: I think the rear seat is cute, I tried to sit back there yesterday and blasted my dome on the hatch. I like it though.

If you have a 91-92 you need to do a little grinding to get everything to line up. If you have a 93 it will go right on.
