Thread: Polished or not ...

I thought I would ask since I am getting a nother new turbo , what people think of polished housings on turbos and if I should order it with the polished housing or not , I think it would go good with the O2 induction intake and all , but you never know

i voted polished housing, my turbo has a polished housing now, with a polished heatshield for the backside soon, i like the polished look other people dont

What turbo you getting now? What turbo you selling??

GT3582R same GTvband housing , just debaiting polished or not , I figure I should nt have to many problems spooling it with the big bore DET+VE , I have been thinking of throughing some SR16ve cams in the mix to since the new pistons will have the valve relifes in them since they are made for VE application , I think I might be able to get away with the cams since I have a equal legnth manifold and the GT35r is larger then the 30R was goingto use ....so I might have to try that too , that car has to be running by the spring though , I just ordered the Koyo and my fuel rail should be on the here soon .........

Whats your fuel set-up? Rail, inj, ect... And What are power goals for this set-up? Just curious. And What are you running for ignition. If you need any help with your base maps for AEM let me know. We just got all our base timing, ignition, idle, ect figured out tonight. Kind of a pain in the ass, but finally idles decently.

well I am running 1000cc matched inj. a custom rail , on a 2.2L block ( if I eveer get it out the door ) with the VE head , I have not changed ignition yet I have thought about AEMs coil on plug .....oh and it is going to be air to water

I am to late he already ordered it , I am stuck with a mormal one , so I have to polish it myself if I want it polished

yeah i would polish it it would go nicely with your intake manifold. I am having my stock intake manifold polished and my new turbos compressor housing. Along with everything else thats already chrome or polished. Did you figure out if your gonna get that front bumper?
