Thread: time to start looking for colleges

ok im about halfway through jr year and my guidance councelor has sent a letter out saying that i should start looking into colleges. for a while i was pretty sure i was gonna go to university of northwestern ohio but then i realized what it would be like to leave everyone that ive know for my entire life and start over. after realizing it i decided i wanted to stay less then 3 hours away from home. also thinking about it becoming a mechanic and working on cars every day for the rest of my life may sound fun but when i get to like 40 and im still working on cars to make money im going to be having problems. now im looking into ppossibly becoming a mechanical engineer. and two colleges i have in mind are renseleer polytech and manhattan college where my dad went. does anyone have any other suggestions to colleges that would help with mechanical engineering in our region?
