I still have power. Things are starting to ramp up out there, though. Landfall at the Jersey Shore is expected in a few hours. I have 35 gals. of gas on standby for the generator plus about another 50 gals in the cars. That should hold us for a few weeks if need be.

Atlantic City is already underwater and the worst of it is still out to sea. High tide is expected @ around 8:45pm. They said the storm is so strong that this morning's tide never really went back out. When tonight's tide rolls in with the brunt of the surge it's going to be a bad scene for the entire coast line.

My concern were I'm at are trees falling on the house and/or garage. We're on high ground so flooding shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully all the tree work we had done last year will payoff.

Thanks to everyone for their wishes of good luck. I think we're all going to need it.

Yup, we have red wine, most of a case of beer, little bit of scotch in the freezer, vodka. Some food and a little bit of water for the kids.

Power went off @ 6:44 for 5 seconds and came back on. MAJOR gusts as I type...

Light wind here, maybe because I'm sorrounded by other buildings and I live in a small street. Good so far.

UGHH they said all employees who drive to work are expected to come in (is that even legal? seems like some borderline discrimination there lol). I think my car is going to have a dead battery in the morning from accidentally leaving the lights on.

NYC Transit is shut down but I am expected to report to work too.
