Do you have your heart set on a VE disty? It's a heck of allot easier to use the stock DE one by just cutting off the bottom leg, and it'll hold perfectly fine with one bolt instead of two. Plenty of folks have done it that way, actually the majority of swapped VE's are running DE distributors. So unless the rewire is done to factory standards, a modded DE distributor with factory wiring is really the way to go.

Just use the stock de one. Cut the bottom leg off, its easier, and cheaper to replaces when the dizzy goes out. Or you can do what we did with mine, make a frankenstein dizzy, use the ve base, woth the de insides and top mixed together, you have to cut soem out of the rotor inside, but it will work and fit. Search Frankensteine distributor by lynchfourtwenty.
