DE+T's are plenty reliable with a t25 or t28. Ive been driving my car everyday for the past year and had no problems. My motor is bone stock with over 170k miles on it. Ive trapped as high as 107mph on 9psi.

If you do prefer all motor, revving a ve to 9k is pretty fun too.

And Bes, Rocco, and Jaime are all very knowledgable and good people.

I just found boost too tempting. If you keep a T25 on stock boost or up to 10psi, it should be plenty reliable. Its a toss up between the two. If you like to rev, go with the VE. If you enjoy quick spool, a quick daily 12-13 second territory depending on tires, and a nice amount of torque, T25 will get you there. I think you should go for a ride in a VE or T25 and decide yourself. I do like blow off valves but hearing vvl pop brings a big to your face haha.

LOL I will speak from experience!

I bought my car about a year ago, with intentions of having a STOCK SE-R, Then i put a T-25 kit on it @ 5PSI. Yes it was fun and reliable (never left me stranded over something stupid). But 4 motors later i learned my lesson about SR20s and Turbochargers "you gotta pay to play" Its not like a DSM were 14 to 35 psi is not a big deal (with right supporting mods). I broke 2 pistons in one motor, a HG in another and something un explanable happened in the last one. Some might say I didnt know what i was doing bu my DSM past plays a huge roll in it (I have a 10sec DSM race car). If your gonna go turbo EXPECT to be spending money on a good ECU or AFC or both, if not youll be in the same boat as me. So in my opinion all motor is the way to go, Just did a VE swap and the car is quick, fun and great on gas and all i have for mods are in my sig!

Bes seems like a straight foward dude so I would recommend him!

For all of you guys with VE's, what's the maintenance like? If something minor goes, do you have to order it and wait a fews weeks for it OR will DE parts work for the most part?

Thanks for the big ups fellas!

Maintenance is pretty much an oil change every 3K for me. I have messed up two clutches and a trans but thats from pounding on it daily along with the track and no lift shifting. I use the DE distributor, coil, ignitor, coolant sensors, etc. A lot of guys have VE's now so sourcing whatever you may need shouldn't be an issue.
