Thread: 2010 Fall Kancamagus Highway Cruise (PHOTOS/VIDS)

I got last notice about the "Kanc cruise" from a buddy late Saturday night and decided to call out of work Sunday to head up there with him. We met up at the NHTI parking lot in Concord, NH, and went I-93 north up to the Franconia/White mountain national park area, then up some mountain roads, and down "Hurricane road" Overall it was a pretty good cruise, lots of people showed up, and the good thing about it, is it's a make a wish foundation event, so the $10 you spent to get in is going to a good cause. Definitely a good cruise!

And to finish this off.... This is the car that got me all pumped, because I thought someone from the dash was there. Actually, I thought it was Topdog from a distance because of the color, until I got close and saw the drivers fender was all smashed in.

looks like fun. would be cool if they had something like this in the NY area. Its ok tho as I probably wouldnt be able to go anyway because of work.

Yeah, we had people from all over the Northeast show up to it. I saw CT, NY, NJ license plates. They do it bi-annually, they have one in the spring and one in the fall. Starting this fall they put numbers on the windshields and took down the drivers name and license plate number, so if anyone does something stupid (like that last video with the M5) they are on the permanent no go list for future cruises. All in all, it was a blast, no accidents, no fights, just a bunch of people getting together and enjoying the awesome weather in the white mountains

Oh, and one more thing. That very first picture with the skyline. My god.... that car pulls like a bitch HARD. We were a good 30 car lengths ahead of him, and I looked in the rearview mirror and I see him flashing his headlights (must have been trying to get our attention) He slowed down to like 30, and then launched it, the car got squirrely for a second, but he caught himself, and he caught up to us REAL quick, I would give my left nut for that car.

Yeah, the guy that owned that car is somewhat of a douche though. He knows his stuff, but he's a shitty guy to buy a car off of. This is his millionth SER (according to him) but he beats the ever living shit out of every single one of them. I bought my black car off of him, was told it was a DET (when I first joined the SR scene, and I didn't know any better). 3 weeks later, the engine blew, I came in contact with the owner that owned it before him, and was told that the motor that was in that car that blew was a DE+T with 220-230k miles on it. He was boosting a T25 @ 14lbs. I started taking some of the electrical tape off the wiring harness to clean it up and organize it a little bit better, and the wiring looks like it was attacked by a horny group of chimpanzees. I'll never do business with this kid again, but props to him for having fast cars for 2 weeks.
