Looking for kind souls in Fairfield county CT
I need help with a motor swap. Um... my motor blew on my b14 ser and I got another motor from a sentra ser.

The motor on the sentra ser got a head gasket and jtw time chaining kit put on it, but they fucked up the timing. Not only that, but they fucked up grounding the starter to body and battery, so I can't even get the damn thing to start in the first place.

If anyone's willing to help, please just let me know. I'm doing what I can as far as taking out my old motor, but everything else, I have no idea what I'm doing, lol. All I wanna do is get my baby started again, and someday have her standard instead of automatic.

Anyways, if anyone is interested in helping me in any way shape or form, that would be very much appreciated. I can pay some cash, but I'm dead broke and school is coming up in like... 9 days, so a lot of my money went for books and all that shit, so I wouldn't be able to spend anymore than $400.00 upfront. Hopefully we could work something out, with payments or something? I'm a real honest dude and I would definitely be willing to do something like that.

If anyone's interested in helping my incredibly desperate self, then just gimme a PM. Thanks in advance, SR20.

I really feel for you and I want to help... I need to know more about the situation tho. What sort of tools and equipment do you have? Do you have any experience? I have done a few motor swaps in my day and it's always more than you expect in terms of money mounts, fluids etc.

Basically are you looking for someone to time the new motor and then swap it? Also I have never heard of a JWT Timing kit....

I will be willing to assist you (read:not do it for you) for free sometime tomorrow maybe. I can bring my laptop/Chilton book and get at least some of it sorted out.

Ugh. Sorry work killed me the last couple of days, so I didn't check back... I only passed out after I got home.

I have very minimal basic tools and equipment. I also have 0 experience, so I've been reading stuff on here as much as I can to try and get this shit done. I think I've been doing stuff at least semi-correctly. Eer.. so far, I disconnected everything that holds my motor to thd body and today I'm gonna unbolt the motor mounts to drop my engine down the bottom before I go to work.

It's basically I'm taking out a SR20de from a sentra se-r and I wanna drop it in my 200sx ser. I definitely think I would need help timing the motor since I have no idea how to do it, and I'm really scared since I read on here that issues with timing can get your valves bent. I think disconnecting everything to take out the motor was pretty simple, but I'm not too confident in setting everything back up again.

I also think I meant to say JWT head gasket kit. That's what the guy did.

Anyways, um... anymore info just gimme a txt at (203) 685-2022. Thanks for considering me, bro.
