CT guys...need advice...
I'm officially up here and need to convert everything over from NY. I never had my balls busted when getting my cars inspected even with no horn, CEL's, no cat, etc, etc, etc.

I have a VE swap now with 3'' exhaust no cat. Not sure but whats this whole emissions thing? Anyone with a swap manage to pass with no problem? Not really trying to convert everything over only to get fuked in the end. Does anyone know somebody to let me get by? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

There is no inspections only emissions. If your OBDi you will have to pass a sniffer test, gas cap test, and visual for cat. You can not have a CEL on. They don't care if your boosted, VE, threw a V8 in it or anything.

First thing's first. Get a cat. You'll have a heck of a time passing without one.

+1 both of those replies, you shouldnt have a problem passing once you install a cat and your AFR is around stoich while cruising. Specially with a VE you should be clean as a whistle

Well the car doesn't run nearly as rich as it did before I got it tuned. AFR's are right on point. I think I have a spare cat just gotta get a flange welded onto the cat-back portion. I just heard from some of the CT guys that its nearly impossible to pass, this and that. The car is also OBD1 which I was hoping might give me more of a break, lol.

My buddy totally untuned DSM running wrong size injectors passed CT emissions no problem just by putting on a stock cat.

Bes put a cat on the car and get it tested. As a previous CT emissions tester I can tell you it doesn't matter whats done to an Obd 1 car. If you fail PM me as I have got good at fiddling with SE-R's until they pass.

If you are really worried hit me up and I can have you stop by my shop. We can run the Emissions machine in training mode and see how you will do without it actually counting.

I'm just waiting on my brothers friend to weld up my piping. Trying to have the cat on soon. I forgot that NY wants 300$ from me so gotta pay that crap off before I can transfer everything over. Pain in the balls.
