Thread size of GM IAT sensor??

Whats the thread size and pitch of the metal GM screw in IAT open element IAT sensor. Everything I can find says 3/8" NPT but this is too small lol...... Closest info I can find is 3/4"

It looks close to a M18 which I think is o2 sensor size

It is 3/8 NPT which is a tapered thread. You have to run the tap deep enough for the sensor to screw in.

People often get confused on npt thread sizes, 3/8npt is not the same as 3/8" od

K thanks, I visualy thought this is definatly bigger than 3/8"

I might have this tap or NPT fittings from an old gauge kit I had, will have to check
