I tuned one N/A DE on GTiR ITBs, no other way to do it as the MAP reads horrible; the MAF was dumped. Very easy to do, but I wouldn't recommend it for normal manifold setups.

MAP / IAT works well, and is more intuitive to work with on turbo setups. With X Boost, I want Y fuel and Z timing...

MAF is the best method for stability and simplicity. People hate MAFs because they are "restrictive", "ugly" or because Hondas do not have, but the MAF is your best friend.

@Haulin200SX it seems you enjoy self tuning, so I'd say yes go ahead and try the NEMU. You probably fiddled with the whole xdf by now and feel bored...

Well I "paid for a series 1 ems" not sure if ill ever see it........... It was a good deal, as most used ones are still almost $1000. I liked the idea of no ADC box. If I don't end up getting it in the mail, ill have to get the nemu

I will be going map/IAT route I currently hate but can tune my car with the tunercode basic setup. I don't need bigger injectors, still using the 259's BUT what I pain to tune with the 3.5" intake tube. I have inserted the VE maf sensor into this instead of using a Q45 3.5" mass air flow. So "k" is still very high. Changing load scales sucks and making a custom VQ map sucks. Maybe I should have inserted the stock DE sensor into the pipe?

I would rather use MAP/IAT and get away from load scales and VQ maps myself. Other tables are easily changed, there more strait forward.

What are the issues with the AlphaN setup? WOT must be fine, so bad driveability when your not WOT?

AEM EMS is a toy, you don't need it but it's nice...

Try MAP/IAT and alpha-n so you notice the differences. Maybe then you will also appreciate the MAF a lot more.
