Just to bump this thread, here is a great writeup on how to make a LCD-less version of the converter
DIY Flex Fuel Kit for under $100 - NASIOC

Big props to Jeff for making it even easier to setup this converter. Less components = more reliable.

This was installed on a Subaru with COBB Tuning - Accessport.
