Are any of you guys running an EBC with a internal gate?

I may have missed something, but how does the ecu know the gate pressure ? That is on the ebc I have now (and most) there the controller unit which gets the solenoid signal and vacuum.

As for last post , yes I have an ebc with an internal gate, I am hoping to have Nismotronic run it.

I'm installing the boost PWM solenoid to Nismotronic tonight!

My understanding, is that Nismotronic doesn't know what your gate pressure is (only manifold pressure if you run MAP). You have to manually see how much boost 10%,15%,20%,25% duty cycle gets you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I took from the manual?

Dala is correct here. Nismotronic does not need to know your gate pressure. It does not need to know this to do what you want it to. Also it does not need to know manifold pressure and dosnt use it in any way.

0-10% duty of the EBC runs wastegate pressure and the valve does nothing for boost control.

From my experience (internal and external gate) I have found that a simple equation can get you very close to your desired boost pressure.

For instance if you want to run 10psi on a 7psi wastegate. That is a 43.01% increase in boost. I ended up running 46% duty to achieve the desired psi.

ok, thanks for the info , figured it was something along those lines. Are you guys running map not maf?

You can run either MAF or MAP with a MAC boost control solenoid controlled via Nismotronic.

awesome I have the same solenoid from previous ebc.
thanks for the bbg info also as that is also on the list. I was under the impression that it used a gear sensor or switch or the likes from the gearbox. the speed sensor makes more sense.

When using boost by gear the ECU will use a specific duty per gear.

A gear is determined by the VSS and RPM. Because there is no input of gearing, tire seize ect Nismotronic has a paramter called the "Gear Calc Factor" that will allow you to dial in the proper gear for your set up.

@lynchfourtwenty , What did you use for your 12v switched source? Thanks Dave
