Death ECU?
What does this mean?

On my way home from work yesterday, right as I was getting off the freeway I felt/saw the rpms and immediately the check engine light popped up. I was able it make it to pick up my son from preschool but the car was in out of limp mode and normal. Instantly it smelled like unburnt fuel and my AFR was reading 10. No higher and no lower.

I have have laptop plugged in right now and the statuses say connected and from what I see I can upload to nemu.

After I got home my car wont start now. I have the symptoms of a bad ECU. My fans come on when keyed on to ACC. and my launch control isn't registering (key on and preset on the tach)

My ECU smoked? And is Nemu still safe?

Replied on FB.

If you were able to upload to the ECU with the key OFF and it still did not register then it is likely the ECU (capacitor or resistor) as they are starting to fail more often due to age.

Try re-seating the NEMU board and if that doesn't fix it, check the solder joints on the 2x20 NEMU connector.
