Question about installation
So I messed up the tach circuit on my NX's Nismotronic a couple months back, swapped in a basic calum in the meantime. Got around to re-installing the Nismotronic daughterboard into another B13 ECU, and now I have some questions.

I can't get live data logging (I have the latest update), but the TCD does appear to load correctly, and the software says the nemu is connected etc. No live data shows up in the data gauges or list, and I can't log anything. The red light in the ECU is on when the car is turned to On or the engine is running. Did I potentially mess up somewhere? Do I need to use an NX ECU or is the B13 sentra ECU alright? The nismotronic worked before without having to snip the consult wires - is this an ECU dependent thing or a wire harness dependent thing? Should I attempt to snip them with this new ECU installed?

Thanks in advance

The first thing to do is to remove or cut the 3 wires that are listed in the stickied thread in this section of the forum.

7, 14 and 15

Thanks,

John

So even having it work before on the original NX ECU without having to snip them, now I have them to snip them because of the change in ECU?

Certainly possible.

They honestly "should" be removed in every installation since they run on the same line as the NEMU and add interference, but you don't "have" to unless you are having issues. Since you are having an issue, it would be a good idea to try removing those pins to see if it relieves your issues.

Thanks for the advice. Just de-pinned the consult wires from the ECU - live data functions flawlessly. Interesting that I did not have to do this with the other ECU.

I have had some that it even depends on how you lay the ECU in the stock location and how the stock wires are routed, so it doesn't surprise me that one worked and the other might not have.

I am glad that removing the wires work go you
