You are running an rpm activation switch right?

No....its should be being controlled by the computer

You can wire the solenoids directly to the ECU, and you can select that output in the software.

We generally just wire both solenoids to the EGR output on the B13 ECU which is a GROUND.

Then you run the other wire coming out of the solenoid to a switched 12v power source.

You can setup the output to turn on in the software in the OUTPUTS -> General Outputs section (GO1 and GO2).

I'm not sure how to write it in like that. But just in case you aren't sure each plug has 1 brown wire and one of another color, join the 2 brown ones, and then join the other 2. Choose one pair needs a power signal and another needs to be the the activation side.

. If i am running the ve loom do I still need the rewire for vvl activation? I haven't seen this covered anywhere.

You do still have to rewire the harness so that the VVL outputs are on the desired ECU outputs you are using in the software.

For example if you want to use the EGR output to turn on the solenoids, then you would move the factory pin for the vvl solenoids over to the EGR output.
