NismoTronic & Tunerview2: FAQ and Installation
I had a few questions about Tunerview in the store thread that I thought should probably go in a thread of its own since its a new addition and will probably be a few more.
Can you run Tunerview simultaneously with Nismotronic through a hub or something? How would this work? Or is it one at a time as I am guessing there is only one usb port on Nemu. Also is there a hole in the casing to run the usb trough or do you have to run it with the lid off?
Lastly is the option in the store for the dash kit or the one with the housing

Please check out the TunerView II Install page on the web site.

John solders a separate pin connector to the board to run the two simultaneously.

Would be kinda pointless to be able to live data stream on the tunerview if it was one or the other, no??

The res John will surely answer

There is a whole separate port for the TunerView so you can have both your laptop and the TunerView plugged in at the same time ... BUT they do use the same data source so I don't necessarily suggest doing it that way.

When you are tuning you can simply put the TunerView in "sleep mode" so there are no data stream interruptions while you are tuning with the software.

The TunerView runs off of a 4 pin header from the ECU and NOT a USB cable .. you can slide the 4-pin header right out of the hole in the back of the ECU where the service pot is. It actually works extremely well.

I will try to get my pictures uploaded today of the installation instructions.

Also, the link you posted is the old TunerView2 .. the one that we are now offering is the large dash kit at this time which does NOT come with a case.

Here is an install page for the TunerView II, it covers cable pin-outs and pictures of how to run the cable through the ECU.

ok looks pretty straight forward. I wish I new some of this a couple of days ago when I purchased the Nismotronic package, I probably would have added Tunerview2. Looks like I will have to practice my soldering skills.

Hey John, would you be able to daisy chain with the RD1 and TunerView2? I've seen your video with using the RD1.

Is the SA capable of running both at this point?

I have a feeling since it's daisy chained, it is running the same same data stream throughout both (or all three) devices, so all you would need is to make sure you have an ample power source for the devices (unless part of the daisy chain is a power source already)

I could be very wrong in this however

However, would it be double redundant to have the two running in parallel?
