First Startup on S13 SR20DET Redtop
Hey John,

Once again, thanks for the basemap as it started the car right up.

To everyone else I have 2 questions or 2 issues I want to work through which is my funky idle that I have and while connected to Nismotronic SA and watching the map trace it was all over the map.. It was in the idle region and then started traveling further up in a higher TP range...

So do you have any first start up tips and tricks to use or check on things to make sure things are working properly?

Are you on MAF or SD?

The best bet is to wire in your wideband into the ECU and shoot me over a log and your most current TCD file.

Without those and the data, it is hard for me to speculate. But I would guess it is just a touch lean in the idle region.

Yes I am MAF more specifically running on a Z32 MAF.

One thing I notice while running Nismotronic SA was that the trace was all over the map and not really staying in the idle region of the map...

I will get you a log of the wideband and TCD file this evening..

It's going to be short as it doesn't stay on longer than 10 seconds before shutting off.

sounds to me like you need to dial in your maf load factor a bit to get it to keep idling, this is where having a wideband is necessary.. it seems like whats happening is once you start it, the start up enrich decays and it leans out and stalls.

if you goto the SETUP tab --> MAF LOAD --> PARAMETERS you can increase the number in the Maf load factor box, i typically make 100 increment jumps. once you can get it to idle around 14.0 or so till its warm you can then dial it in further and even take it for a drive to see how it does cruising (not in boost)

I have a wideband more specifically a Innovate MTX-L, I just need to finish getting it installed into the breakout box!

Wasn't able to get a TCD and or log due to a coolant leak I had to resolve and my battery dying...

Will get one tomorrow!
