Thread: Nismotronic SA and Virtual Dyno issue

Hey John (and everyone else)

I had a quick question. Have you (guys) checked to see if SA version is compatible with Virtual Dyno?? Several of my logs seem to cut off at 3200 RPM. When I converted your/John' "sample" log to CSV Excel format, the same issue came up

I am not certain how Virtual Dyno reads data, but several differences are noted when I took a look

1) Several of the columns are labelled differently in the CSV file from RT
2) Several column definition has been swapped around so where you had MAF Load, now you have another definition as compared to RT

Let me know if you have tried SA version with Virtual Dyno and see if you have got it working. I have Version 1.2.3 of Virtual Dyno

I am going to do a quick search on Google and through Evolution M to see if others are having the issue.

Actually it looks like I figured it out

The TPS Sensor Data is off as it was not reading 100% TPS. Went into the fils, and for the section of runs compared in my log, I changed them to 100% TPS and it worked out!

I'll keep this up, but if John wants to delete, go right ahead. I figured if anyone else ran into this problem, this may be of some help

Maybe it would be useful to know why the TPS data was off.

Here is the "issue" you will see with Nissan's TPS setup

TPS @ 88% is referenced to 100% per say if you data log it (also the FSM states this)
If you do a data log, you will see this. Also, I matched up the TPS voltages between full throttle while warmed up (around 3.92 Volts, with the FSM saying 4V should be max/100% throttle) and throttle closed (circa 0.45 - 0.65Volts for throttle completely closed. Mine read at 0.55 Volts with TPS showing either 2% or less on NEMU). I checked the voltages BOTH with NEMU and a handheld Volt meter (the meter has alligator clips wired into the car for easy access and to do it while at full throttle)

SO, with that said, I just pinned the above ~82-83% as full throttle on the CSV file in order to correlate with above 90% throttle as what is required by Virtual Dyno

You can adjust the WOT percentage with the TPS "VOLTAGE PERCENT SCALAR". Read the doc under SETUP tab, SENSORS, TPS SENSOR.

Why not actually adjust the TPS so it's 100% when open?

Also piggy backing of TPS power will lower your power greatly. I can only have 1 more item off TPS power before the power falls too far and shows up as TPS being at 70% open.
