I didn't include paper work with your new unit since you already have one.. you simply follow the directions on the downloads section and you are good to go.

The software DOES self register ... you simply plug in the unit with a internet connection and it does it all for you.

Instructions are here, it just seems not everyone wants to read all of them sometimes.

There have been a few updates since the initial release, but none of them would cause the ECU or software to lock up because of it.

If you are having any issues with the CEL flashing, you can simply enable the MIL output indicator in the outputs section to change this.

Also, please note that you should make the initial uploads when updating version with the KEY OFF and engine NOT running!


I typed that wrong. The ECU locked up, then there was an update. Before this last update my CEL was off since i adjusted the MAF voltages. Now since this new update it is on. Right now the CEL is setup for factory operation which is how i want it. I will try another update and then load it with the key on engine off to see if it fixes the issue.

What else would cause the CEL to flicker when running?

Ah ok, thanks John, for some reason my mate Adrian has been having trouble getting SA to register, i tried following the instructions the other night and it wouldnt run out of trial mode, he is currently running RT ok. I also plugged his Nemu into my laptop and it came up with a error and crashed every time i tried to start RT, and i initially set it up and tuned it in RT when he got it on my laptop. I said he would need to email you but he hasnt so far I guess.

It should be pretty straight forward.. the only thing that might cause an issue would be if you have auto connect logger enabled on RT or SA and the logging packets were different and it tried to start logging from the ECU.

I have converted back and forth between RT and SA literally about 100 times in the past couple weeks to verify and update customer's NEMU units and haven't seen any issue that would cause the software to crash.

He just needs to make sure that the car is NOT powered ON and that he has an active internet connection when trying to update to SA.

You ALWAYS have to make the initial upload when connecting to the ECU with the KEY OFF, especially with the SA version of the software.

The MAF voltage is the only thing that would cause the CEL flicker you are experiencing.

SA updated again for me today. I only connect the computer to the internet every so often. The CEL is now a little dimmer but it is still there. I will check the MAF voltages again.

Double check that you either have the knock sensor wired and working properly OR that it is disabled if you do not have one hooked up.

I found that my car had a very similar CEL flicker when the knock sensor was enabled and mine is not present on the engine.

So, try disabling your knock sensor and see if your CEL flicker issue goes away!

I made a base file from a Sr20de base, changed to VE maf and set injectors to 333, and it was pig rich. I just gave it to someone else as they are a long way from me so i couldnt tune it for him, so he is taking to dyno.

Im currently waiting for a stock VE engine so i can make a base file.
