Cool. I hit Amazon and ordered this one. Would it be a waste of time to weld it in upside down and get the sensor farther down into the charge pipe? I thought it might get a better temp reading that way... not sure though.

Mine sticks only about 1/8" inside the pipe to minimize air flow disruption, and it reads within 1ºF of ambient (I have an FMIC).

That makes sense. Thanks for the info.

I'm going to install both of the sensors as soon as I get them in. I don't imagine installing the air temp sensor will affect the way the RT version runs, will it?

We still looking good for the SA release this month?

You can hook them up to NEMU ADC inputs and start logging them with RT.

I just want to point out that you can NOT do this. NPT is a tapered thread. So it only goes one way.

Thank you for pointing that out. I've yet to mess with new bungs on the car, but I'm *sure* I would have tried to screw it in both ways before I dropped it in there.

I'm going to have to wait until the SA version to install the temp sensor b/c my MAF is currently sitting where it will once I go with a MAP tune.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but are we going to have base tunes for MAP as well as MAF? A starting point for our new setups?

Yes, there will be base tunes for speed density (MAP) and MAF based setups.

I will try to put together a tune registry that you can access to download and view all of the basetunes that we have compiled.

I am also planning on letting the end user upload their tune to the repository so they can share it with the community if they wish to.
