What is ECU Pin 35 for?... Dave, Help!
I bought a Nismotronic package off of someone on the forums. The package came with a step down connector for my B14 harness.

He had it wired up for a VVL window switch and two of the wires are cut. One (thank you alldata) is for the O2 Sensor Heater (turns on at 3200 RPM), and the other one is pin 35 on the B14 side of the connector.

I cannot find any information on this pin. It's wired, and has a connection on both sides of the connector itself, but it doesn't appear to do anything in particular.

The only info I've found states that it's a switched input. Is this pin controlled by the ECU? Is it even used?

Thanks!

It should be your park neutral position switch on the ecu side.

Pin 35 is Empty, make sure your not reading it backwards and really meaning pin 17 or somehting and FYI if its pin 17 its for the EVAP CANISTER PURGE VOLUME CONTROL VALVE on 1998 B14 and 1999 P11 ECU's only.

PNP switch is pin 22 only all OBDII ECU's

When wiring to the OBD1 ECU, please refer to everything with the OBD1 pin out.

You can tap right into the conversion harness if need be, instead of the factory harness.

But anyway, all of the user outputs from he ECU are ground outputs.. so if he was using this to control VVL solenoids then the 1 side of the solenoid would go to an ECU output (ground) and the other side would go to a switched 12V source.

Thanks so much for the quick responses, guys... I got the car running, but unfortunately, not with my nemu....

The tune I have is all out of whack. I had to plug int the JWT ECU just to get it to idle with the MAF and TPS plugged in (I know, right?)

I tried a base B13 tune, selecting my Z32 MAF and 525 cc (50 lbs) injectors, and it didn't like it. I could get it into limp mode, but the second I plug the TPS or MAF in, it dies.

Where can I find a pin out diagram and a list of available outputs from the ECU. (and where they are in the ecu connector)
