I have Sooooo many questions!
So question number one, when i load my tcd, an go to the fueling tab, for my injectors it says base 330 and current 330, well i know the base is 259 for sr20de injectors, so do i put 259? Then for current, i have 520cc injectors, do i put 520?

when i experimented a bit i was able to get the base to 259 but the current would stay at 330, what am i doing wrong?

Also the upload changes and upload base only seem to work if i turn the car off then back on, so its like its not real time exactly, if that makes sense?

sorry if all this sounds dumb, i've got a lot of learning to do, and i will catch on like i did with my nistune, it just may take time, and more silly questions! lol.

thanks in advance.

when you scale the K values for you maf the base will change.

step 1: use 259 as base and new 520. save

step 2:go to "misc" and click "open Vq table"

step 3: select your maf from the drop down list. it may adjust the base injector, and will tell you this.

this will get you in the ballpark.

there is a whole description on how to use the NEMU Software on the site.

John,Dave please correct me if I'm wrong.

john converted my bin to tcd for me, and the car runs an drives pretty well, but it seemed the spool up area was a bit laggy an leaner then it was, so i didnt push it past that an thats why i was fooling with the injector stuff..

every time i change the thing to 259/520 then save then upload changes it doesnt seem to make a change, if i turn the car off or close the program an reopen it, it says 259/330 not 520.. hmm

thanks for the reply!

Was the bin that you sent me for the 520cc injectors? If so, then leave the current and base injector size at the same value!!

When it gets converted, the current and stock injector size will end up being the same value.. since with the OEM firmware you already scaled for this with the Kvalue.

When you change the value, you need to hit TAB or click off of the item for it to be marked "changed" so it can be saved. If you leave the item you are trying to save, highlighted then it will never save OR upload the new value because it doesn't know that you changed it.

It definitely works, you just need to follow the steps I mentioned above for the changes to actually take affect. Just get into the habit of hitting the tab key after you make a change to a static value like the injector size or launch control settings for them to take effect.

Also, the reason for it being leaner is more than likely the alpha-N limit being disabled in your current tune, which you will need to retune the spool up and partial throttle areas of the map. Just map trace it and make the changes accordingly.

I highly suggest reading over the help section of the software so you can fully understand what the new tables and features that are different from the stock firmware that you have been using. In the general tuning section, it gives you a pretty good description of how to tune the fuel tables and how the end value is calculated.

Ahh I got ya, that makes sense.

And ya that bin I sent was for n60maf/520inj. The idle an cruise are perfect but the spool up was in the high 12's low 13's where as before it was 12 flat. Wonder why is different.

I will try to get the zeitronix wideband wired up to it tomorrow. If there was an option for it in the direct loggin I could have made a log already but that's ok it motivates me to get the adc stuff hooked up.

Just read your edit, again makes sense..

Thanks!

Once I get it all figured out I'll be sure to help other guys

The reason it is more than likely a little leaner is because you should have the alphaN limit disabled in the MISC section.

This disables the reading of strictly the last FUEL column when the throttle goes over 86%. Instead it uses the actual calculated TP value.. the alphaN limit should only really be enabled on an NA engine.

Ah, ok, so disable that an i should be back to how it was then?

another quick question, in the settings i checked the cell tracking thing, and it doesn't seem to do anything? i expected it to track the current cells being used, but it didn't.

To add on to this, there is actually a table where you can set the values it will tip over to the last fuel column, granted post 86% it might automatically go there regardless of the table.

The Alpha N limit is so useless I still don't understand why Nissan implemented it. It definitely gave me a head ache on an OBD2 ecu (I just didn't know about it at the time!)

ok i unchecked that Alpha N thing, also read thru the tunercode documents in the help in nismotronic, very good info.
