Hello. What are the problems of the car? Have any pictures uploaded that you could share?

Yeah ill try to figure out how to post some pics up. When i purchased the car i was aware of the problem but i got a good deal on the car so i didnt mind. It will not go past 2k rpm so i took out the maf sensor and cleaned it out. It fixed the problem and ran awesome for about a day and the problem came back last night when i went to take the car the go clean it out. So now its back to the problem where its in a limp mode. It has the Cobra Maf on it, Wisco pistons, S4 cams, JWT ecu, arp head studs, 440cc injectors, Precision gt2871r turbo.

Aww ya that is the pretty Sierra Pine Metallic color! Very nice. The wheels and paint pop well. I hope you are able to figure out the problem. The issue really sounds like a huge leak or MAF issues.

Yeah i love the color of the car. Yeah that's what i was thinking is maybe the maf or leakage somewhere. I thought i fixed it because it ran awesome the other day but it just went straight back to not going past 2500rpm which is a bummer. I hope i figure it out! I haven't done a vacuum test on it yet. What is the normal vacuum on this car? Its sitting at about a -15 right now i do not know if that is normal or not.

Ditch the ancient jwt ecu for a nismotronic setup, then you can also swap to a n62 Maf..

Depending on the idle rpm, -18 to -20 is normal

So last night i had some time to look at it and the Maf sensor that is in the car is a Ford Maf but the part number is totally wrong from the 93 Cobra R maf part number and im getting a maf CEL code. So i am curious to see if this Wrong Maf senor could be causing the problems for that.

Gotta check to see if the JWT ECU is programmed for the MAF that is installed. That requires removing the ECU from the floor inside the car (where you feet would be) unless someone located it elsewhere. Removing the cover of the ECU, and getting the chip program code number and send that to JWT via email or call and they should help identify what is on that ECU. Using a JWT works when your setup does not change and you are pretty much turn-keying the car all the time. If you change setups or need or want information faster, upgrading the ECU is the best way.

Also, it is very common for JWT to have a Cobra MAF ECU setup so the MAF programming inside the ECU and the Cobra MAF combo may be correct. But, if something else may be wrong with either the wiring of the MAF or the MAF element, itself.
