Is the engine in the 510 an L20 punched out to 2.2 or an LZ22 hybrid? I have a Z20 with Weber carb, Nismo cam, header/exhaust in my 85 720 at the moment and love it, but want some more power. The L20 and Z20 are identical blocks and bottom ends, just different head setup. No one out here on the east coast does L-Z power stuff anymore, so now I am in the middle of a CA18DET swap in my 720.

Old Man does but no one has the cajones to bring an engine to him. After all, he did build engines using his own ability and bankroll and beat people that BOUGHT their engines and installed them in their race cars.

I would love to do that Kyle, but that is a long drive from 'Bama lol. And what kind of power and money would I be talking about? Remember this is a 720 truck so i don't need extreme top end power with no bottom end grunt and I still use it to haul stuff around. Just looking for fast streetable truck.

The thought of a Cannon or HKS side draft carb manifold for the Naps-Z engine with properly set up carbs would be enough for me to stay Z-series. I have even thought of bored/stroked 2.1lL or 2.2L high revver long rod motor. But I have no clue where to get the parts from. Ratsun sucks for info.

Thanks guys, the datsun is almost ready. Just fine tuning it and then alignment. The middle finger is the Ratsun salute, I have a build thread over there. Lots of friends have 510 and one of my good friends Bustanut on Ratsun built my motor. He does lots of motor rebuilds, this was a l20 punched out to a 2.2 with Z Pistons.

was able to score a set of B14 SE-R wheels with tires over the weekend. Tires will do for now but i need to get some good rubber on there!!

having a hatch always comes in handy when moving tires....

the wife was surprisingly okay with this

hopefully i will have a chance to get these on this week...

got chance to put my wheels on last night, think they look great and go well with my paint job. Car looks like it sits so high though, are there any good options for lowering??

Also wrapping up the Datsun, this engine sounds so strong and mean with the Mikunis!!! time to break her in
