Undercoating is annoying and when you have to get to parts to work on the car, it is a bitch. Also, if not performed perfectly, any void that will allow outside stuff through a crack will drive the ever-lasting hell out of you and most likely cause instant regret. Execution is always important, as usual.
A friend of mine used what I think was used engine oil and diesel fuel mixed together. Used in a pump-spray application (like insect repellent or weed killer) Spray underneath of a car, the mixture sticks to metal, avoids salt and water because the mixture is thick oil. And when you want to work on the car, use some de-greaser to unveil your super clean parts to easily work on. Re-apply the mixture after done your work.
Thanks to Owen for showing my Dad and I that awesome trick. Works up here in Saltsylvania, The Salt Capital of the United States during winter months.
