Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my friends SR20-DE. I'm goin t0 hopefully build it into a SR20-VET with VVL top end, with HP goals in 300-350whp. I'm not actually 100% sure what I'll be dropping it in, hopefully a b13 and nx2k.

Vvl heads are so expensive you may aswell spend a few bux more and get a whole motor. Plus the ve has lighter crank and no girdle both things help. I've read that the girdle being gone alone is good for about 6-8 whp if I remember correctly. But if you can find a good deal on a complete head it's a good option. But most want like 700 bux plus shipping for just a head. I bought my whole ve motor for 900 shipped lol

Edit: also for 300-350 whp a de with some upgrades will definitely hold up just fine. Unless you just want vvl for your power goals I'd stay DE
