Hello from Germany
Hi there,

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Marco and I'm writing these lines from Germany.

I have owned and driven a red '94 S14 (EU spec with SR20DET fitted from factory) for over 10 years now.
The car has been heavily modded in most aspects (welded in roll cage, Z33 transmission, most interiour removed, every part of the suspension changed including knuckles), but the engine has only seen mild mods yet (poncams, new oil sprayers) and I am looking to change that.

The car started as my daily driver, has been used for various types of motorsports in the past few years and is mostly being used for drifting nowadays (on a hobby level), so you could say it gets used but is also treated well

I have been running a low mounted Borg Warner EFR 6258 T25 for about two years now and I am very happy with it. Plans for 2017 are: SR23VET with another EFR turbo, most likely the 7163 T4 TS (I am looking to build the ultimate response SR20 with the option to make more power later ).

Pictures (from the Nürburging):

Wilcommen!

I've actually just started learning German, so if I ever get confident enough, maybe I'll wright you a message!

You may not find as much information here about RWD SR20s and S-chassis as you might find elsewhere, but we accept all SR20s here.

Dankeschön.

Sure, if you like, just write me a message. How come you started learning German?

Yes, I think you're right. A lot of FWD info here... But maybe that's also a chance to learn some new stuff and give out some RWD info to you.

First, I've never really learned another language before. Sure, I took some Spanish in school, but I never really learned it.

Second, I had taken a trip to Austria (and Hungary and Romania) with my college choir, and was surprised at how easy German was to understand. Figuring out text-only signs was entirely possible by looking for words that were related to an English word. English is a Germanic language, after all.

Third, my ancestry is primarily German, but my family's, and many Americans' connections to the culture and language were suppressed because of both World Wars.

Fourth, I figure that German, French, or Mandarin would have the most utility if my wife and I were to travel.

You are right. There are numerous words that are the same or sound the same or are related to each other.

beer - Bier
house - Haus
garden - Garten
address - Adresse
mouse - Maus
garage - Garage

I also have some relatives in the US. Unfortunately never got around to visit them.

I think you're right about it being useful while travelling. French or Spanish would be handy... Depending on where you want to go of course.
