If you are in the north bay, open a mailbox at the healdsburg ups store and register the car there. Once you smog once to register the car initially, you don't have to after that in the years to come.

There is no call back number for that one, I emailed the guy weeks ago and still no reply..

Thats a really good idea to get a UPS store address. I was going to use my father in laws address in humboldt but thats quite a drive if i need to get ahold of DMV paperwork quickly.

There is always overnight shipping on the paperwork. Ups stores offer to forward your mail however way you want it for a fee.
