Thread: P10 owner here ! Recommended from G20.net !

Hey sr20 forum people, thank you for accepting me into this awesome community.

I've lurked your forums a bit over the last couple years, been a pretty active poster on G20.net but I never made the leap to also register on Sr20 forums until today for laziness :P

Well, that and another reason.... My engine has been diagnosed with rod knock! D:

I'm wondering my options... As soon as I am able I'll post in the tech forums for some more advice. As it is now, a mechanic quoted me at $1600 parts $900 labor to rebuild my DE. Insane , right?
For that price I can get a "new" used DE, or even DET / VE? Unless someone knows an easier fix for rod knock , then I'd happily keep my DE the way it is for now

Anyways, I look forward to solving this problem and continuing to get a long life out of my G20

By the way, I was recommended to look for an Andreas Miko on these forums in regards to possibly purchasing a DE or VE. Would you have any suggestions on how to reach him ?

where are you from? will be able to help you find an affordable motor from an importer close to you

I'm in SoCal, near Tarzana in the SFV. About 15-20 minutes outside of Los Angeles.
