Thread: Triumph tr7 / sr20DE project in Western Australia.

Hi . I'm in the middle of running triumph tr7 with sr20DE from nissan silvia. I bought the engine and gearbox separately and end up with DET gearbox and flywheel on DE engine. Everything seems to work fine but it feels bit weak , specially 5th gear. Can it be cause DET flywheel is heavyer than DE one and gears are also a little faster. And final drive is also faster than silvia s. Its 3.9:1 but silvia is 4.11:1 if im correct. So if anybody can give me some ideas it would be much appreciated. Btw the car weighs around 1000 kg .
