Nissan Enthusiast From TN
It has been a long time since I have been on any Sentra/NX/SR20 forums. Bought a 1991 NX2000 in 1996, then a few years later purchased a 1992 Sentra SE-R, long lists of modifications to both of them over a few years of ownership before getting rid of both of them, totaled the NX200 in an accident, and sold the B13 SE-R in 2005 to a friend.
I spent a couple years in Japan for work, when I got back bought a 2000 Mustang GT that has a very long list of modifications to chassis, suspension, powertrain, but is mainly a street and 1/4 track toy these days.
In 2010 I bought a 2003 350Z track model, have been enjoying that car on the street and HPDE/track days for a few years now. Since I have purchased the 350Z the Mustang sits in the garage and rarely sees the light of day. I have kept the modifications to the 350Z pretty basic to make a reliable track day car: exhaust, wheels/tires, shocks/springs, roll bar, OMP seats, and harnesses. The video below is from last October at the new track in Bowling Green, KY next to the Corvette Museum.
Last year I was also on a ChumpCar team working on a 1992 Sentra SE-R, so this year I will be driving that car as well in 3 races that we have planed so far. So, thought I would get back on the SR20 forums to see what I can learn to make our CHumpCar run and perform better this year. I'm sure I will be hitting the classifieds as well looking for lots of spare parts as we tear things up over the course of the year.
