New guy from europe
Hi!

So I would like to interoduce myself briefly. Starting with the boring part - My name is Martin and I live in switzerland. I was quite familiar with the SR20DET engine for a long time. A few of my friends use them in their driftcars - but I never thought I will understand the thrill of the NA one.

Long story short, after an unfortunate season with many trackdays in my old E36M3, i decided to cut budget and sold everything. After a while, somehow I missed racing on trackdays a lot and decided to build a proper 'shitbox'. A car only dedicated for the purpose of enjoing driving and learing again the basics of it. After a short periode of time I found a good looking, low millage Sunny N14. The 'shitbox' was born.

If you have any question or what-so-ever - feel free to ask them!

Cheers!
Martin

As a few people asked me to write down the 'story' on this shitbox, I decided to finally do it. Sorry for my english, there are few tipos all the time .

After a short trip to the BMW side of life - which almost ended in a financial and personal-emotional desaster, i decided to ditch all the car-stuff and do something else in my life. Or lets say it like it was - the car ditched be, after curising down to the super market in the euro M3 - she decided to dislubricate her self.... Well mayor enging blow at 1700rpm stuck in traffic that is the kind of afternoon you love!

I somehow loved the car, although I did not build it. I bought it with the idea to advance it to this dedicated tracktool I always wanted to have. Unfortunately this did not happen - and after doing my math I realized that rebuilding it was just to expensive to rationalize this step. I realized during this time that traveling around the globe, enjoying life, doing sports and also focus on educational oportunities gained much more value in my life - than this stupid pile of crap shit car thing...
And believe me - the M3 batch - was not the most expensiv thing on the car. I have to admit that one day I will return to the BMW or even Porsche GT3 side of life. The highreving powerfull RWD plattform is just something I love drive. My car was far from 'perfect'. I had the chance to drive superbly setup euro E36M3 with proper KW Competition suspension and the important modifications. It is just another league! - But at this point, the black M3 was far from this level!

Later...

I realized that sitting in a bucket seat and doing what I love was somehow present in my head. Deep inside me, there was this urge to do so - soon, very soon!
But this time, I had 'no' budget, I was not willing to spend 'millions and billions'. So I sat down with a friend and we brainstormed about concepts. I had a few in mind and I knew, that the most important thing was, to cut the running costs down to the bare minimum!

My list contained these 'shit-pile-old' cars:

    Opel Vectra
    Nissan Primera P10 eGT
    Nissan Sunny N14 GTI
    Honda CRX / Civic
    Mazda MX5 NA 1.8l

Obviously the CRX and Civic was just to damn expensiv for what it is. I could not even find a B16 powered CRX under 5000 USD without a blown engine, lost wheels and blown suspension. The Miata was my 'secret' wish, but was hard do find with the 1.8l powerplant! As the Vectra has been already in use by a friend of mine - I decided against a 'copy cat' project. And so I aimed for the Primera P10 and de N14 GTI. I knew it it had to work out, somehow.

And than I bought this 'old grocery getter'. I earned a lot of 'shit dude this will never work', 'no way', 'you are a stupid idiot', and so on...

I convinced 2 friends to support me, as I knew better than all the haters...
And so the story began...
