Thread: No emails

Not sure where I should post this but I am sorta new to the forum so I figured here...

So I know where the settings are, I am set to receive notifications immediatley, me email is entered correctly, I am NOT seeing the emails being sent to my spam folder.

2 questions...

1) What is the email address that notifications are sent from? (so I can add it to my "approved" list just in case.

2) Am I missing something, can someone help me? Like a moderator, admin?

All forum e-mails seem to be broken. We're getting to it as soon as we can. Sorry about the trouble.
There are possibly 4 threads about it in the Server News section already. =(

@BenFenner Are you guys at least aware of "what" the issue is, just no fix yet or?
The reason I ask is I am an IT guy by trade, having years under my belt as a Admin on Linux/unix servers, windows too.

Correct, the issue isn't how to fix it, it's when can we get the access to fix it. It's also obviously important, and maybe should get priority, but right now there are other things on the list to fix as well so I haven't pushed maybe as hard as I should to get the cogs moving as it were.

Testing

It looks like @Crim was able to fix the e-mail issue today. I've been talking with him on IM and all the tests are looking good now. As some of you may have noticed, a whole bunch of backlogged e-mails were sent out. Crim stopped a lot of them from going out because he didn't want people to get flooded with a bazillion old e-mails, but you still might have gotten some.

E-mails should be working again now. Most importantly, new member registration e-mails, forgotten password e-mails, subscription e-mails, and everything else should be fixed.


Let us know if you have any trouble with e-mails in the next couple days.

Lol yep, I just got about 20 notifications emails about PM's, I was like "oh man what just happened" - then realized it was from the past few days/week or whatever
