Welcome. If you want to mod your GA go for it. But you will inevitably be hungry for more power and question if you shoulda swapped in a VE or something. It even happens to those of us who have VE's. We say "maybe we shoulda gotten a big DE-T" etc.. oh it just never ends. The only way to make it stop is to not drive the car for a long time like 2-3 months and you kinda forget about it a little.

Welcome to the Forum. That's great you're thinking about attending the Convention!

Before you go all crazy on dumping all sort of time and money into your conversion project, you may want to push the pause button and have a moment. Here's the way I see such endeavors. If you love tinkering and building things and have the technical and financial resources to take on such a project, then go for it. It will be a great learning experience.

If on the other hand, you're lacking any of those things, it may be wiser go another direction. Fluff up what you have, drive it a bit and flip it to buy a factory made SR car. It will be way less hassle in terms of labor and dollars. Using that strategy, may actually get you into an SR car sooner. I guess it really depends on how deep you want to get in the grease. What you're proposing is very ambitious, even for a seasoned wrench. 2cents from the old guy, for what it's worth.

What my plan is is to do this auto to manual swap and drive the car for another year or so and save up enough money to trade up to a factory sr sentra because i like the sentra over the 200sx for some reason. And thank you for the tips!!

i need to do a lot of pulling parts from my one 98 sentra, to either stash them away, sell them, or throw them in my new 98

See i have the time to work on them but not the money right now i have a code popping up saying i have a bad map sensor
