Not the best photos, obviously this is the important side
I will get a better overall shot. Also note, the two grey plugs in the photo go to the distributor and are normally connected. The black/orange is for egr which doesnt exist on the u12 motor.

+ Fuel Line routing looks to be correct.
- Remove the Tee in the vac line the runs your fuel pressure regulator. Never "Tee" this vac line.
- Connect a hose from the valve cover to the intake between the MAF and turbo inlet.
? When you turn the key to the on position does the check engine light come on?

One side of the fuel injector connection should have constant power. The ECU will trigger the fuel injectors by completing the circuit via a ground. The fuel injector wires have 2 different color wires. One is the same on all four injectors and is your power wire. The other wire will be your ground. (Assuming the wire harness has not been tampered with or modified. If you have access to noid lights, this can help in the diagnosis.

Thanks again, hmmm boost T might attribute to some fuel issues, I shall fix.

Will fix open feed on valve cover.

Yes engine check light comes on.

Ok, wiring. I checked the different coloured wires for continuity from the injector loom back to the ecu plug> this was ok.
Wiring loom(s) are not modified.

So constant power to injectors? Same colour wire should have power when ignition is 'on' before cranking?

Ok, turns out the wires on the injectors that i was checking for continuity were the negatives. These were four different colours, one for each injector.

So the injector positive is meant to have constant power when key is 'on' position, I have no power.

Whats causing this?

If it started life as an auto car there is two wires that need to taken care of on the engine to body harness above the tranny one is just a jumper for the Inhibitor relay. The other needs to share a power (you can look at the pins and the fsm and bring power to the "missing pin". Also check inside the car at the small white plugs there is one that the pin is missing from the engine side. I depinned mine so I can't remember which one but the colors match up and it's just on another plug. I had the same problem on my 1997 sentra gxe 1.6 auto to sr20 manual swap.

Fixed!!!
FIXED!!!
So, heres the story.

So we spent 2 hours tracing wires from the injectors, back to the cabin and back again etc.
Result: the injectors were never working at all!!!
The fuel that was firing previously in the car was from leaking injector o-rings.
Turns out (must be a S1 wiring thing) the injectors dont actually have power from the same pin as the s2 sss loom which is what I am using in the engine bay.
aka: traced the black/red back to the cabin and it didnt have a pin to connect to on the cabin side...wtf

In the end, to ensure everything is working as it should I just connected the battery straight to the positive for the injector loom and it runs!
