Thread: Hello from Ottawa!

Hi all,

I was told this was THE place to be for SR20 owners. I just bought a B15 Sentra race car last fall but just got it about a month ago and got it on track the first time last weekend.

The transmission blew up in a lap and a half and I've learned more about the car in the past week then I did over the last few months. Nothing like needing to fix something to learn about it!

I've named my car Limpy because it broke so far LOL . I'm running an SR20VE with cams, that's all I really know. And now the detonated B13 transmission is being replaced with a B15 one.

Hey James! Welcome to the board! This is definitely the place for all things SR20. Keep us updated on limpy and her recovery.

New tranny is butter smooth! The old one felt pretty clunky, now I can't even feel the gears engage it's so smooth!

Off to the track in the AM!

Excellent! We'll be looking for race reports!

Teething issues I nearly rear ended a guy and my battery shifted causing the positive terminal to disconnect and so I finished the race watching from the grass.

Tranny held up and engine too, no leaks thanks to the distributor you gave me.

Cars is running a little too rich I think. Backfires off throttle a lot.

Here is the only few minutes I got to drive the car to its potential I was catching the mustang but then we got stuck in traffic

The night was a little bit of a mess, car wouldn't start so I got stuck at the back and had to work my way around the slower cars. The timing system at the track wasnt working either so they guessed at who won. Kind of messed up.

I think I was mid pack maybe 6-7th before I broke. Maybe qualified even better but they had no times so they guessed.
