Thread: STL Peoples - BBQ in May?

sweet! it'll be good to see ya again, NateDogg. And we'll talk about drugs I'm getting interested in pharmacogenomics.

Anyway, back on topic - we need to decide what everyone shall bring. Nate - you should bring some more of that dam Ski Soda!

What else do we want there? If we grill, we'll need charcoal, meat, buns, ketchup, mustard.
I can bring some tater salad or chips and salsa.

We don't need charcoal - gas is easier. I'll cover the ketchup and mustard. I would think 1 person for soda/beer (if needed), and then decide on what to grill. I'm a mean cook for chicken breasts, pork steaks, or hamburgers. Brats tend to take a long time. $13 will cover a bag of frozen chicken breasts or many hamburgers.

I've got a Schnucks 2 minutes away (frequent a Schnucks for the local employed people) , so you can stop there right before for ease; and we also have a meat market pretty close for special cuts, etc. $10 a person would cover quite a bit of stuff w/ 4 of us.

Let me know what I need to get.

Two last things: I would like to move it to 3pm instead of 2pm. That way my wife doesn't have to deal with you guys before work....especially Brian. She knows he helps push me towards bad decisions - usually about buying vehicles I don't need.

Also, we'll have to see if any of you guys can beat a 6 year old (almost 7) at Mario Kart on the Wii. She's pretty decent.

I luv Mario Kart, tell her it's ON! LOL!
And I'll bring Potato Salad and Chips+Salsa. Is that fair?

-Maybe ice cream or brownies or something

I'll bring ground beef and make up some burgers. I'll try to keep it at about $10 worth. I will not plan to buy buns so someone else can get them. If no one volunteers for buns, then I'll pick them up as well.

2) Has Lisa been telling you you're funny again?
3) Like you need my help making bad vehicle decisions. Need we talk about the Focus?
4) I can't beat your 6 year old at any video game. But I'll spend all day trying!

Ok, well, that leaves the following for whoever else is coming:

-Front-mount intercooler with piping for steve
-ice cream or brownies or something sweet
-Drinks

I'll get drinks. Everything sounds pretty sweet this is shapin up 2 b a great time. I'll see if I can whip up an FMIC but now that I think about it I believe im all out of aluminum ore. Sorry Steve

Stainless is equally as tasty if you have any iron ore and carbon in the fridge.

Two thoughts:

1) Steve, can you go back and edit your first post to add all the up-to-date info on the get together? That way someone doesn't have to search all 3 pages to see when and where we are meeting...

2) Everyone: Anyone who decides to come at the last minute is still welcomed to show, even if they do not have the time to pick up something. I would hate for a local SR20 owner to not show up simply because they did not RSVP in the thread.

Ill bring some pork steaks and buns...i did not see hotdogs so ill bring a pack or so as well..i love bbq hotdogs. I hope your bringing you wife Brian...i think mine is coming and i would hate her to be totally board with car talk. I say lets do a mass put matts suspension on day as well...lol.

Oh yeah on the wheels Josh..they might be a no go..beccs front tires were showing coards so we had to buy new tires for the stockers..got some new falken 912. See you guys there
