B13 passenger-side door glass wanted in SE Michigan or maybe Chicago
This is sort of a duplicate of something I posted on the original forum yesterday - I don't know how much crossover there is, whether the CoG of activity has moved here, etc.
Unfortunately my SE-R was broken into over the weekend - first time something like that has happened in 15 years. I haven't seen it yet - I'm still in Chicago (I took the train) but my friend tells me nothing appears to have been taken (there was nothing to take anyway) so it is likely jthat it needs just a new door glass.
Is there anyone in or near the Detroit area with a door glass I can take off their hands? E.g. from a car they're parting out or etc. Suggestions for wrecking yards that have Japanese cars (don't seem to be many of those around here) are welcome too.
I suspect it will be more cost0effective for me to just replace the glass myself than do it through insurance, since I have a $100 glass deductible.
I mention Chicago because I'm there regularly (I'm there now) and my GF will be driving from Chicago to Detroit in a few weeks and could potentially take something over for me.
thanks,
David
