One breaks the circuit to the starter unless the clutch pedal is depressed, the other breaks the circuit to the cruise control. IIRC.

***Hmmm, from what I recall older cars used this to tell the starter 'it's ok to enable' newer cars use this to act as a clutch interlock and some other function every time it's pressed. In my car if the sesor is not there or unplugged the car will not start so the senser (clutch switch) assuming this is the focal-point will need to be installed... Wait, your car was born an auto, you likely will not have this feature OEM installed on your harness for a clutch switch, but instead have a (I forget) installed to prevent the auto shifter from being take out of park until the brake is depresed, you should be fine just may have to press the brake before you start it.

***No problem I will perform this for you, cooler if we could sneak this tub onto base again and work them side -by- side and peep/tweek but you know?life sux:o

Also I found an FPR set on eBay through Performance Nissan they said I need to use a Nizmow universal kit and it includes the whachamacallit thingee you stick the the fuel tube so unless one of you peeps has one to sell me cheaper than the EeeBay dude, then I will make the purchase on Monday? I will get the liquid gauge from GregV, & use my Pay-Pal. Also my Sentra rears & pads & Q41 fronts & pads should be here soon, pics later on? -Me

***That is correct, that is the other function I forgot about. However your ECU is an automatic so your ECU will not ID a clutch switch if you installed it? Next your harness will not have a lead for it if you were to attempt to install it?

Depressing my clutch pedal allows my car to start, w/o interlocking the drivetrain. Your car will start in 'P' or 'N' because your drivetrain is not operable until you put it in a gear, BUT brake pedal must be pressed to shift your car to shift from park. These are the protection features Nissan built in most most vehicles to prevent car launching and killing animals/people/ or damaging property.

Older Datsun & Nissan trucks did not offer this interlock/bypass on standard shift models due to the need to start on an upslope w/o drifting back down the hill

Happy Thanksgiving readers =D

1) I want to update you all to my stats as I have logged on many times and lost connectivity. My 3-day shipping through DHL was somehow not logged so my card is coming parcel post (USPS) which is said to me 7-10 bussiness days which puts my card here @/by 12.05.2008.

2) How this has bearing on 12.06.2008, I likely will not make the set appt date due to not having the kits and items needed to perform my required tasks this day.

3) Nismo FPR, Nismo adpater, & likwid filled gauge kit ordered from Mr. Vogel.

Headgasket is done, need to re-install everything. The cops on base were watching us like hawks, even inside the shop. Left around 1:30 or so.
