Thread: Dec 25 going to PA snowboarding

I will be going to PA to the poconos on Dec 25 - 30 I will be going snowboarding at Shawnee Mountain or Camel back.

If any one out there goes there or to some other place near by please chime in .

I know its coold as hell up there but thats where im going on for my vacation.

My parents have a condo at Seven Springs where we ski but you're going to be on the other side of PA.

About 5 hours from the Poconos

I grew up not too far from Camelback. Never been to Shawnee. Back when i used to ski, Camelback was the ticket. They have a nice lodge and the bird watch was always stellar. The bar wasn't bad either. As far as serious mountains go, you'll need to go to Vermont, however. If you want to stay in PA, Elk Mountain has the best skiing. It's a bit of a hike from the Poconos, though.

i go snowboarding at camelback every year.. and its always awesome.. since i dont have my own board.. theres this rental place a little bit down the road that rents them out for a little cheaper than camelback does.. just in case.

Elk definatly owns all. Although, Snow Mtn. now has a pretty bad-ass park. But Elk still is the best in the area.
