August 30th End of Summer Mid Atlantic meet.
Lets make this one a meet to remember. PA, MD, NJ, NY guys, the pavilion I will be renting has a 60 person capacity, lets fill it up!

Adam, My brother, and I will bring out our DSLR cameras and hopefully sometime during the day we can go out and get moving shots of peoples cars and take some group photos which I will make available via my website to everyone who attended.

I will have my consult enabled lap top available for anyone who wants to scan or check their pre-OBDII car.
I will make sure that there are footballs and soccer balls available for recreation, and the park has 2 playgrounds and a softball field.

Alcohol IS permitted at Alpha Ridge Park (glass containers are prohibited), but it must be kept inside the pavilion area. If anyone is drinking I will STRONGLY URGE them to drink responsibly and make the proper decision when it comes time to drive, either limit yourself so you are fine when the time comes to leave, or arrange for someone else to drive you.

Meet Date: Saturday, August 30th 2008

Time: 10A.M.-8P.M.

Lodging:
Some out of state guys have asked about cheap hotels. A quick google search turned up the following in the area.

Brown's Motel
8074 Baltimore National Pike
Ellicott City, MD 21043
(410) 465-4000‎

Forest Motel
10021 Baltimore National Pike
Ellicott City, MD 21042
(410) 465-2090‎

Please be warned that I have never stayed at either of these, and what I have been told about the Forest Motel, it is a bare bones ratty motel....I have never heard anything good or bad about Brown's. Both are just the cheapest options in the area.

For someone who has a little more cash to throw around
Residence Inn by Marriott: Columbia
4950 Beaver Run Ct
Ellicott City, MD 21043
(410) 997-7200‎

honestly though, I think I want to shoot for Hanover, that way PA and some NJ guys can be included too as opposed to Howard county. Hanover is about 25-30 minutes out further then my house is just to give you an idea. I will try and place the meet where the most people will be able to attend.

well PA is out, too far away for some of the DC guys. I checked out Centennial Park in Howard County today and it seems like it would be an awesome place to hold a meet. Spacious, has picnic areas, pavilions, and a lake. Real nice looking.
Check post #1 for info. I put the parks address in the first post if you want to mapquest it to see how far away it is from you.

I will start the list now. Copy and add your name if you plan on attending!
