Im half hour south of Pittsburgh. Anyone in the area done a ve swap. I will be doing one in the next few weeks in the b14.

I'm like 10 min away from town. What are you doing with the old motor? Anything wrong with it?

I think we talked before about this. I used to go to school at IUP which is like 10-15 mins from Wyotech. Theres a junk yard up that way with 3 200sx's (GAs though) called Flowers or something in Homer City. I go there every so often. Hit me up sometime, always looking for more local SR20 guys to shoot the shit with.


I'm 15 mins East of Pittsburgh, I've never done VE swap but im very interested in perhaps doing one in the future so I'd offer my help so I could also learn a few things =]

Fezman1337, nothing is wrong with the motor. The transmission went in it. The engine has 175k miles on it so I figured I would go ahead and swap in a ve. I also removed all the fenders, front/rear bumper and the sideskirts to hit all the surface rust (has only seen 2 northern winters so its not bad at all). I am still doing some research on doing a sr20ve swap and haven't bought the engine or tranny yet. It will probably be another few weeks before I have the funds to do so. Right now I have the old tranny out and the engine disconnected. Once I locate someone with a engine hoist the old engine will come out.

I got my nx up here about two weeks ago.
broke a brake line the other day so I have her parked for now.
hit me up if any of you all want to hang out before it starts to get cold up here.

I just moved up to Erie for school but plan on going back this weekend to finish putting my car back together. I might come down home on some weekends after that but not sure. Let me know and if I'll be in town and not too busy we can have a little meet or something.
