Thread: Set of working OEM fans

Anybody have a set of working OEM fans for the NX?

pete has a pair of slim fans that flowa 1200 cfm

there some on the parts car nx..

I jumped to conclusions rather than investigate the problem first.

The fans are good, they just won't come on when they are supposed to.

I tried to manually override the the ECU using the A/C switch since I don't have A/C anymore. I could not get that to work. Has anybody achieved this before? If so, can you guide me how to do this?

Also, how do you test the relay to see if it's functional??

Take a relay from something else, a one that wont affect the functionality of the car, and see if it works

check the ground to the engine

ground to the engine is good.

This isn't a new problem either. I had a bad MAF, which caused the ECU to go into limp mode and the fans ran non-stop. Then I replaced the MAF with a good one, found out the ECU was bad, got a new one of those, and ever since then, the fans haven't turned on when they are supposed to.

Which is why I thought it was the temp sensor incompatibility thing.

Just wanted to see what others think too.

Is there a way to find out what year your ecu is?

just unplug the temp sensor the ecu will think the engine is running hot so the fans should come on when u turn the key to accesory

good idea, but won't that cause the fans to run constantly?

Isn't this bad for the fans, AND the alternator?
